Whitening
If you are unhappy about the colour of your teeth you can speak to your dentist about tooth whitening. Your dentist will need to assess whether you are suitable for this as sensitivity and poor gum health can be contraindications to treatment.
The whitening gel will not change the colour of any fillings, crowns, or bridges you have so these may have to be replaced to match your new colour.
As the gel only works on enamel, any roots exposed by gum recession will not be affected.
Procedure:
Customised trays are made of your teeth by taking an impression and sending it to the lab.
The whitening gel is placed in the trays and worn in the mouth for 2 hours or overnight, depending on your chosen kit, in the comfort of your own home.
This is repeated until the desire colour is reached.
Fees:
PRIVATE - £280 (upper and lower trays)
